Study Skills Activity on How to Proofread - Part 2: This worksheet is for the second part of proofreading skills activities.  This handout continues to cover how to proofread your work carefully.

Proofreading Exercise  - Look at the following text.  The text below has ten mistakes.  Can you identify and correct them?

We disgust the problems associated with learning last weak.  The teacher mentioned that it was important for us to use the write grammar and to try to learn knew words.  The teacher also stated that even though it is important for us to work hard throughout the hole course, we should also take a brake once in a while because exhaustion can adversely effect the learning process.  We also need to consider other factors which might affect our abilities; even the whether can impact upon our attitudes to learning.  The student’s role is often difficult, and the student must except the fact that there will be certain problems.  However, the teacher told us that our difficulties should be minimal because we were very clever and capable students, which was a very nice complement, indeed.
